72. Chicken Wings

Chicken wings are bite size fun for kids. We don't have them often but on special occasions. The kids love them.
Here is our favorite oriental chicken wing recipe.

71. Grilled Hamburger

Forget getting your hamburger from a drive through. It is so much better homemade and less fat!

Lean ground beef
Salt and pepper
Season hamburger and form into patties. Grill and serve with whole wheat buns.

If you’d like a little more seasoning add dash of Worcestershire sauce and 1-2 Tablespoons dry onion soup mix.

70. Chicken Enchiladas

These are best with flour tortillas at least we think so but you can try corn tortillas if your family likes them.
Chicken Enchiladas Recipe I also make an extra and freeze it for another night.

Would you rather have Beef Enchiladas?

69. Breaded Pork Chops

This recipe makes moist pork chops you will love. The key to moist pork chops is using milk or buttermilk when you are breading it. Hope you love it as much as we do!

68. Grilled Chicken

Sometimes I forget simple meals are just as good as complex.
Grill chicken or chicken cubes in a skillet or George Foremon and serve with vegetables.

Roasted Broccoli
We roasted broccoli in this picture to go with the chicken. You cut your broccoli and place on a cookie sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Toss to evenly coat. Cook for 10-15 minutes on 450 degrees. Stir half way through.

67. Stir Fry

Stir fry is a great recipe that you can change easily. Try chicken, pork, steak or no meat. Serve with whatever vegetables you like or have on hand.

66. Fettuccine Alfredo

I love Alfredo sauce whether it is the really great recipe with butter and cream or this healthier version. It is a favorite in our house. It is best served immediately and doesn't make the best leftovers.

65. Pasta Fagioli Soup

Have you ever craved the soup from Olive Garden that looks like this? It is super easy to make and very good. My kids love it because there are noodles in it and they love noodles. I find if I use one type of bean instead of different kinds they seem to like it better for whatever reason!

64. Chicken Pea Casserole

Simple chicken casseroles are perfect for potlucks or Sunday dinner when you don't want to do much or you want to plan ahead.

Breakfast Egg Casserole

It takes about 45 minutes to bake so start early enough.

60. Chicken Corn Chowder

This recipe has very little to it and my kids love it.
Chicken Corn Chowder- it is great with leftover chicken but often times I make it with chicken breasts. This time I found baby potatoes and used those whole instead of diced potatoes. I thought it would add a little more fun to the dinner.

59. Beef Roast

I make a homemade barbecue sauce to go with a simple beef roast. You can stir it in and make barbecue beef sandwiches or leave the sauce on the side for dipping. Super yummy!

Homemade Barbecue Sauce and crockpot beef roast recipe.

58. Hamburger Vegetable Cabbage Soup

Okay, so you are probably thinking cabbage soup no way kids will like this! It is full of vegetables but I tell my kids its like a treasure hunt because the soup is full of so many different things you get to dig through and find buried treasure. Treasure being the beef or vegetables they really like. There is also a vegetable or two in the soup that kids will avoid but if they are eating most all of the rest of the vegetables I let it slide this once.
Hamburger Vegetable Soup

I made the mistake of adding more than 1/4 Cup rice, I figured I'll just add all the rice I have left in the cupboard. Well it took over the whole soup and definitely didn't work out well. My husband jokingly said it was like Spanish rice. So really only put in what it calls for or you can even leave it out and it won't be missed.

Here is the recipe for Alfredo sauce. Spread sauce over the crust, sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, then top with chopped chicken and cooked chopped broccoli. Bake.

51. Stuffed Peppers

I add a lot of hidden vegetables pureed in the rice hamburger mixture that I stuff the peppers with. The kids love the meat mixture the pepper not as much however since they are getting a lot of nutrition inside this is one case I figure it is okay not to eat the pepper as long as they try it.
We like to drizzle sour cream or plain yogurt on the top of our stuffed peppers.

50. Taco Soup

This is an easy taco chili recipe. It can be cooked in the crock pot or put together in 30 minutes or less on the stove top.

49. Waffle Night

Make it a waffle night with homemade whole wheat waffles, fresh fruit, whip cream, jam or/and bacon or ham on the side.

This time I pureed 2 small zucchini in the blender and added it to the waffle batter.

48. Ham Loaf

A little twist on meatloaf. In this recipe you use ground pork or sausage and chopped ham instead of hamburger. I like to make this recipe after having a traditional ham such as a holiday dinner. I chop the leftover ham in the blender or food chopper and it works great in this recipe. It freezes well.
Ham Loaf Recipe

Try it with a potato casserole.

Cream of Potato Soup.

My kids prefer having their soup chunky and not a cream soup. So I take half of the soup and set it aside. Then I puree the other half of the soup in the blender and my husband and I have pureed soup.
Everyone's happy and full of healthy soup.
